FIRE.jpgMOBILE, Ala. — A fire destroyed an abandoned home on Cary Hamilton Road this morning, according to fire officials.

Mobile Fire-Rescue spokesman Steve Huffman said firefighters arrived at the home about 10:45 a.m. The fire, he said, apparently started in the front bedroom and spread through the structure.

Damage was estimated at $50,000, Huffman said.
