Diane Harris Stephens (Special)A Montevallo woman is in the Shelby County Jail on charges resulting from a Nov. 23 traffic accident that left one University of Montevallo student dead and four others injured, Shelby County Assistant District Attorney Bill Bostick said.
Diane Harris Stephens, 52, was arrested Thursday and charged with reckless murder and leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries, he said. She is held with bond set at $150,000.
Amy K. Elliott, an 18-year-old student from Madison, was killed in the crash.
