HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — A 5-year-old boy is being taken to Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children after he was pulled from an apartment complex pool late this afternoon.
Don Webster, chief operations officer for HEMSI, said the boy is in critical condition but was breathing when paramedics arrived at Pinecrest Apartments, 3708 McVay St. The accident was reported shortly after 6 p.m.
Details were not immediately available, though witnesses said the boy appeared to stop swimming and his mother rushed to pull him out of the pool.
