MONTGOMERY, Alabama — People who have been receiving food assistance from the Alabama Department of Human Resources will get their May benefits early.
The benefits will post Sunday to their EBT cards, according to a statement from DHR Commissioner Nancy Buckner. Normally the deposits are staggered throughout the month.
People in the following counties are affected: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Colbert ,Cullman, DeKalb, Elmore, Etowah, Fayette, Franklin, Hale, Jackson, Jefferson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.
