GUNTERSVILLE, AL — A teenager from Albertville drowned while swimming with friends Saturday afternoon in Guntersville.
Marshall County Coroner Marlon Killion said the 17-year-old boy drowned shortly before 2 p.m. in the Brown Creek area near Civitan Park on Sunset Drive. His body was recovered shortly after 5 p.m. in a search conducted by Alabama Marine Police, the Guntersville Rescue Squad and others.
Killion said he will release the name of the victim after all of his relatives have been notified.
