BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Authorities today released the identity of a man killed Friday in a single-car crash on Interstate 59 in Jefferson County.
Chief Deputy Coroner Pat Curry identified the victim as Steven Thomas, 50, of Birmingham.
Thomas died at a Birmingham hospital at 6 p.m. Friday. The accident happened at 1:45 p.m. at I-59 at the First Avenue exit. He was ejected from his vehicle.
