BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — A Birmingham man died Saturday as a result of injuries from a motorcycle crash in Roebuck, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reports.
Robert Patton, 39, was driving a 2006 Honda CBR motorcycle at Roebuck Parkway and Lee Road at 6:50 a.m. Saturday when he lost control, said Deputy Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates. Patton left the road and struck a utility pole, Yates said.
Patton was transported to UAB Hospital’s emergency room, where he was pronounced dead at 8:29 a.m. Saturday, Yates said.
