Author: BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — A Birmingham man was shot to death Saturday night, police report.
Cornelius Ellison, 53, died at the scene of the 10:10 p.m. shooting in Pratt City, according to a police statement.
Officers from the West Precinct responded to the intersection of 6th Place and Avenue T on a report of a person shot, according to the statement. Officers arrived to find the victim lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.
No suspects are in custody.
Anyone who has information about the case is asked to call police department’s homicide unit at 254-1764 or Crime Stopper at 254-7777.
