BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — The $46 million indoor track and swim complex under construction at Fair Park will be named the Birmingham Metro CrossPlex, city officials said today.
The facility will have a 200-meter indoor track, a 50-meter swimming pool and event facilities. The track and field area will have seating for 4,000 spectators and the swim area will have seating for 1,300, officials said.
The facility is expected to open in August.
