Rep. Mike Hill, R-Columbiana, was taken to a Montgomery emergency room today after his blood pressure spiked, legislators said.
Hill began the day feeling fine but fell ill at the State House, his colleagues said. Legislators said registered nurse Rep. April Weaver, R-Brierfield, went into “nurse mode” to help Hill.
Hill was taken to an emergency room. Legislators later paused to say a prayer for him on the House floor.
Weaver later told lawmakers that the hospital was keeping Hill for observation.
“He is feeling much better. His blood pressure is going down,” Weaver told legislators.
