Fay Estelle Mason, a native and resident of Mobile, died Friday in a New Orleans hospital.
Mason was a graduate of Murphy High School where she served as treasurer of the class of 1960. She graduated from Judson College and did post graduate work at Florida State University. Mason earned her master’s degree in nutrition from Florida International University.
Her obituary states, “Fay was a world traveler and an avid reader. She was the coordinator of recreation services for the military in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.”
She retired from Armaco after 20 years of service. She was the head dietician at King Faisel Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Following retirement, Mason volunteered for the USA School of Pharmacology.
