Author: The National Hurricane Center has issued its first advisory for Tropical Depression 2 off the coast of Florida near the Bahamas.
The storm is located at 27.5 N, 78.2 W about 100 miles northwest of Great Abaco Island and moving south at 2 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph with a central pressure of 1010 MB.
The government of the Bahamas has issued a tropical storm watch for Grand Bahama Island and the Abaco Islands in northwest Bahamas.
