There is a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain in the Birmingham area this weekend as high temperatures are expected to drop from the upper 90s to the low 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is a look at each day’s forecast:

Tonight: 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms before midnight with a low around 70.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 91.

Saturday night: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 88. 

Sunday night: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87.

Monday night: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67.
