Thursday’s high in the Birmingham area will be near 94, but on Friday that will rise to 98 with heat index values as high as 106, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight’s low will be around 76 with a 10 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms before 10 p.m.

Thursday’s forecast calls for a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms that afternoon and an overnight low around 76. 

Friday will be sunny and clear. The overnight low will be around 77.

There is a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday with a high near 97 and an overnight low around 78.
