HOMEWOOD, Alabama — A Birmingham man linked to a robbery and shooting at a fast-food restaurant last month is now charged with two additional robberies, authorities said today.
Kevin Buchanan, 21, is charged with holdups on May 16 on Robert Jemison Road and May 18 on Aspen Cove, according to Homewood police.
Details of those robberies weren’t immediately available.
Already in the county jail, Buchanan’s bond on the latest warrants totals $120,000.
Buchanan already was charged in connection with a May 23 incident at McDonalds on Green Springs Highway. A woman was shot in the shoulder when Buchanan and another man, Lateek Michael Jones, attempted to rob her during a drug deal, police said. A gun accidentally fired during the robbery. Jones was charged with attempted murder and robbery in that incident; Buchanan with robbery.
