Author: U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan will meet with Birmingham Mayor William Bell Monday in a tornado-damaged neighborhood to discuss efforts to house those displaced by the April 27 storms.
Dovovan’s will first stop in Tuscaloosa, where he will meet with U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus and Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox.
In Birmingham at 11 a.m., the HUD secretary plans to meet Bachus and Bell at the Timber Ridge Apartments on Cherry Avenue.
