Jacksonville State University’s board of trustees executive committee is looking for more revenue streams and will investigate selling beer at Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium. The Anniston Star reports university President Bill Meehan said he wants to take some time to see what type of revenue stream the university could develop by partnering with a corporate beer company before taking any action. The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board would have to OK alcohol sales at the stadium.

Alabama State Troopers target Tuscaloosa-Birmingham corridor: The Interstate 20/59 corridor between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, one of the most heavily traveled roads in Alabama, will be saturated by state troopers the rest of June, The Tuscaloosa News reports. Aggressive drivers who drive too fast, tailgate and make unsafe lane changes will be on the troopers’ radar during a safety initiative called TACT: Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks.
