“She was a devoted wife and mother who was known for her peaceful countenance, meticulous homemaking, love for family and friends, and commitment to the Lord Jesus,” relatives stated in her obituary.

Her husband, Robert C. Salter, preceded her in death. She was interned at a private burial service Sunday at the Buffington Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Salter Shumack; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
