MADISON, Alabama — A house caught fire about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Madison, and officials believe lightning was the cause.
Authorities said everyone was able to get out of the house, located on Oakhurst Drive off of Slaughter Road, but the house was a total loss. Firefighters were still fighting the blaze around 9 p.m., but officials said it was under control.
