HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Huntsville police arrested a man wanted in Missouri, Florida and Alabama after chasing him for the second time in two days.
Officers pursued 37-year-old Christopher Keiss on Interstate 565 yesterday but lost him. Police spotted the man, who is facing theft charges in Missouri and drug charges in Florida, again today on I-565 and put down spike strips on the east side of Chapman Mountain in an attempt to stop him.
Keiss allegedly tried to veer around the spike strips and struck a patrol car parked in the median. He was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree theft, attempted murder, first-degree escape and attempting to elude a police officer.
He was booked in the Madison County Jail shortly after 1 p.m. His bond has not yet been set.
