It was 75 degrees at 6 a.m. in Birmingham and central Alabama could see another day of storms with some possibly heavy rains, according to the National Weather Service.
In the forecast, today should bring a 50 percent chance of afternoon rain and storms mixed with some sunshine and a high of 95 degrees. The storms that do develop could produce gusty winds and be slow-moving, with heavy rains and flooding.
Friday could be a repeat of today with a mix of sunshine and afternoon storms. The high should be near 92. The rain chances will begin tapering during the weekend with more sunshine and daily highs staying in the lower 90s.
