Author: MOBILE, Alabama — Mobile police are searching for a bank robbery suspect this afternoon in the Hemley Street area.
Police have been using K-9 units and have cordoned off a perimeter south of Springhill Avenue on Hemley Avenue at Union Street.
Several police officers and detectives are searching backyards and units were posted at all street corners.
A Compass Bank branch on Springhill Avenue was robbed.
