ATHENS, Alabama — A 71-year-old Athens man accused of sexually abusing two children now faces more than 50 charges.
Authorities say Jonnie Donald Peck has been charged with 24 counts of first-degree sodomy, 24 counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse after authorities added charges in the case Monday.
Athens Police Captain Floyd Johnson said Pack, arrested Friday, knew his two young victims, who were between 9- and 12-years-old when the abuse took place.
Investigators say the incidents occurred over several years. The two victims are currently working with police, who hope that more people will come forward during the investigation.
Pack is being held at the Limestone County Jail and no bond has been posted.
