PRICHARD, Alabama — A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Prichard late this afternoon, and Prichard police chief Jimmie Gardner said the case is being investigated as a vehicular homicide involving a man driving under the influence.
Neither the victim nor the driver were immediately identified.
Gardner said the woman was struck before 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of St. Stephens Road just north of the Mobile-Prichard city limit.
