Author: HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – A 28-year-old man was shot in the 2900 block of Alaska Avenue tonight around 9:30 p.m., police said.
Harry Hobbs, communications officer for Huntsville Police, said Dewawn Anthony Jones was shot in the left thigh after an argument with the alleged gunman. Authorities, who haven’t made an arrest, do have a description of the suspect, Hobbs said.
Jones was transported by HEMSI to Huntsville Hospital and has been released, Hobbs said.
The investigation is ongoing.
