Author: Alabama Power Co. crews are working to restore power to about 900 customers in Mountain Brook tonight.
At its peak earlier tonight, the outage affected about 1,600 customers, Alabama Power spokeswoman Keisa Sharpe said.
The cause of the outage has not been determined.
Power should be back on for all customers by midnight, Sharpe said.
