Those who have not made contact with family and friends since the April 27 tornadoes can still check the American Red Cross’ Safe and Well website for loved ones.
The Safe and Well link allows people to register and list themselves as safe. Friends and family outside the disaster area can then search for messages from their loved ones. Those wishing to register can also call 1-800-733-2767.
Tornado victims can update their Facebook and Twitter statuses through the website. The site is also accessible by smartphone.
