TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — People from various parts of Alabama began constructing tents meant for tailgating at football games.
Today, they are on the lawn at Rosedale Baptist Church being used for a makeshift morning service open to anyone wanting to attend.
Some of the displaced people from the homes a few steps away where a killer tornado drove through are expected to return.
In the previous days since the tornado hit, people often spoke of God and Jesus, grateful to have their lives despite losing material possession, and in some cases loved ones.
The church here was damaged with portions of the roof torn off and windows blown our, now replaced by wood.
