MOBILE, Alabama — A man with a handgun robbed the Taco Bell at 1115 Government St. in Midtown Sunday evening, Mobile police said.
No one was injured, and no arrests had been made as of this evening.
Police spokesman Officer Christopher Levy said the robber came into the restaurant about 7:15 p.m., drew a black semiautomatic handgun and jumped the counter. He then pointed the gun at employees and demanded money, Levy said.
The robber got money, jumped back over the counter and was last seen running north across Government Street, according to Levy.
The robber was described as a thin black man between 6 feet 2 and 6 feet 4 inches tall. He had a dark complexion and wore a navy blue hooded jacket, black pants and black gloves. He wore a blue bandana over his face and sunglasses.
