Author: ODENVILLE, Alabama — Three brothers drowned Saturday in a private lake in St. Clair County, according to the county’s coroner.
The bodies of Terry Marbury, 29, and Cortney Marbury, 30, both of Leeds, and Richard Marbury, 32, of Odenville, were recovered from the lake Saturday night, said St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell.
Someone called St. Clair County’s central emergency dispatch at 5:25 p.m. Saturday seeking help at the lake in the 900 block of Moore Road in Odenville, Russell said.
According to witnesses the three men had been out on the boat when one brother got out to swim, Russell said. That man got in trouble and the other two brothers tried to help, he said.
