TROY, Alabama — Troy police recently charged 27-year-old Quentin Montez Richardson after he was accused of throwing a full can of beer at his 3-year-old daughter, striking her in the face, the Dothan Eagle reports.
According to records cited by the Dothan Eagle, Richardson was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend when he thew the full 16-ounce can of Natural Ice beer, leading to the felony second-degree domestic violence charge.

Jasper double shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured: A double shooting just after 3 a.m. near R.J.’s convenience store in west Jasper early Wednesday morning left one man dead and another seriously injured, the Daily Mountain Eagle reports. The names of the victims, both young adults, were not released, and the seriously injured victim was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital.
DeKalb County man hides in closet when pot plants spotted from air: After a marijuana eradication team pilot spotted the illegal plants growing on his property, 50-year-old Eddie Lee Plunk was arrested after he was found hiding in a bedroom closet, according to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris. The Gadsden Times reports that a search warrant had to be obtained when Plunk refused to come outside.
