Author: MOBILE, Alabama — One lane of westbound Interstate 10 just west of the George Wallace Tunnel was blocked late tonight by an overturned 18-wheel rig.
Emergency rescue and law enforcement responders were working at the scene just after 10 p.m. The truck appeared to be carrying livestock, according to an eyewitness at the scene.
The truck, which overturned on its passenger side, was just past the tunnels and also blocked the Water Street exit on Interstate 10.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the driver or the livestock.
