Synopsis: Forecasters anticipate another wet and warm weather pattern to take control of the extended forecast, with afternoon thunderstorms expected each day.
Partly cloudy skies were forecast for today, with afternoon temperatures slightly lower, climbing into the low to mid-90s.
Overnight lows should range from the upper 60s to low 70s, as skies clear a bit.
With a weak area of low pressure expected to keep an abundant amount of Gulf moisture in the area, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to move through the region today and into the weekend.
Some of these anticipated storms could be severe, with gusty winds and frequent lightning as the major threats.
As we move into the new workweek, afternoon highs were expected to be in the low 90s along the coast and in the mid-90s for inland areas, while overnight lows should be in the low to mid-70s.
Hurricane outlook: For the tropical weather outlook, no cyclone development was forecast by the National Hurricane Center through today.
