The slicks on the surface will disappear quickly if the cap on BP’s
blown oil well holds. But the oil will remain in the water, on beaches
and in marshes, and in the lives of Gulf Coast residents for years.
Here’s what you are saying about the story:
“If Obama had acted quickly, taken all the offers of assistance from
foreign and domestic sources, and fought the spill offshore, these
people would not have lost their way of life. If the criminals at
Obama’s Interior Department had not been on the “take” and allowed all
these safety violations, the spill would never have occurred. Now with
his moratorium on deepwater drilling, he has caused the loss of
thousands of jobs of good, hardworking oil workers. He is causing the
deepwater drillers to move to greener pastures than the US, so we will
become more dependant on foreign oil just when we were on the brink of
massive oil discoveries in the deepwater Gulf and Alaska.” -egdaph10
“Astounding, isn’t it? All that oil on the water and all we can do is
watch it and hope it goes away soon. Not one mention of getting it off
the water. It follows the priorities our President has laid out from the
getgo; “cap the well then clean up”. Something is amiss…” -sosoome
“George W. himself could have fired a RPG at the Horizon oil rig on live
television, and these fool would say it was Obama in make-up. Big oil has been in bed with the GOP for 65 years and ran the Energy
Dept. for eight years under Bush the Oil-man and removed all the
regulation that were put in place by Clinton and Bush Sr. opposed
deep-water drilling. So who do the pin-heads and the ‘Ditto Heads’
blame: President Obama. I remember when Republicans were smarter than
that.” -Law54Bama
